Metal Mule panniers

Got my new Metal Mule panniers today and very very happy with the service received and the quality of the goods.

Nice 500 mile round trip today to get them from their place in Brighton. As soon as I arrived Stuart made me a cup of tea. http://www.gsclubuk.org/forum/images...icon_smile.gif Panniers were all ready for me complete with frames, mounts, all nuts and bolts and full instructions. Fitting was simple, as everything lined up perfectly and all bolts etc were right sizes.

My Remus titanium exhaust was close to the frames so Paul immediately stopped what he was going (making frames for the new Triumph Tiger) and made up a spacer with longer bolt to reposition my exhaust. The other non-standard part was my Givi top-box which also needed moving slightly. Again Paul machined two alloy blocks to re-mount this and it was all perfect.

Excellent service and top quality product. It's unusual for me to actually spend some money especially on something so expensive but these products are definitely worth every penny.

A very happy customer.

Hi Sid,

You should have popped in to see me, I'm less than 20 miles away. I make tea as well. http://www.gsclubuk.org/forum/images...icon_smile.gif Didn't really get the chance to talk at Ripley what with everything else going on.

I would have been interested in seeing the installation as MM would be my choice for my next panniers. Presumably these are for your Africa trip?

They are a top-notch company with quality products and excellent staff.

I second that. Apart from the panniers being worth every penny, the level of after care service is second to none. I live in Spain and have had a couple of spare parts sent out (not a failure in the panniers themselves). Stuart always answers the emails straightaway and gets the stuff sent out quickly. I'm currently waiting for 2 sets of spare keys and a chocolate bar from them (the hubby lost the spares to his and my panniers when he stopped for a chocolate break last week).
Far superior in product and service than TT UK.

My MM panniers needed some TLC this year -- completed with humour, skill and genuine interest in wha had gone wrong. Highly recommended.

nb Stuart works much faster if you fill him with chocolate biscuits. But then, so do I.

Maybe you're the reason he's on a diet, which is why I'm getting a chocolate bar :)

I have power coated mules on my XT600E..

BLOODY BRILLIANT !!!

Not the cheapest I know but sooooooo worth the extra money when you compare them to the sardine tins (aka Zegas) that touratech sell.

Sid what type of bike have you got? what size of panniers did you get? and how much did the frames cost? cant figure the last one out from the website as its got about 5 different frames for the yamaha XT660R.

My brother and i are looking at doing africa in two years time and are also thinking about MM panniers as they always get good write ups, and look as if you can take them off alot easier than taking a hammer to them like touratechs stuff

Give them a call. They are very helpful and friendly and will talk you through your requirements without trying to sell you things you dont want.
