light cover bike

Hello,

I hope that I'm in the right place.
I did lot of travel accross USA and Canada. Now I'm plan to a RTW and I think about a cover bike saw to the aerostich website. I have a 1200 GSA.

Do you think that is a good idea to cover a bike during the night for safety reason?

Safe ride

IMO, yes! A covered bike will attract less attention. Also, people are less inclined to mess with it. There are some half-covers out there, which will do the trick and not take up too much space.

consider also modding the cover bottom so you thread a small cable through it and then locking it. Out of sight is out of mind. Yah they may cut through it but most aren't going to bother. it's crimes of opportunity.

I use one of the 'Stich ultralight covers. The medium fits my Bandit 1250s. There are a couple of grommets on the bottom to really tighten the cover or to lock it.
I tend to use it only if I think it will rain, but it's probably a good idea to use it all the time.
