I will warn against some of the "motorcycle-boots" from Lidl, as they are with shoe laces.
This is a no-go on a bike.

I have their gloves, they ROCK! Bought them about three years ago, rode them for more than 20,000km and they're still good as new.

the jacket looks to be relatively well vented, may be cheaper than the Klim route...

got Lidl boots and an Aldi jacket can't fault them :)

Just had a quick look on line & the Helmets again might be worth as a back up, would have to see them in the flesh as it was

I just bought a one-piece rainsuit in Lidl. It's really well made, better than my more expensive old one . We shall see how will it work in the :rain:.. or I rather hope I will never find out :thumbup1:

I bought a pair of the Windstopper trousers (sic: under trousers) from Aldi yesterday. I had the Windstopper top last year and it's probably one of the best bits of kit I've ever bought for £9.99. I am off on a 1000 mile trip including some camping in Devon, Sussex and the Midlands on Sunday and now that I have the pants, I can use my spring/summer/autumn suit (HG Tourag - old style) rather than my winter stuff :thumbup1:

had the rainsuit and helmet a year or so now,,no problems here..........

What reasoning is behind this opinion?

I guees they are getting at the fact that laces could end up in a wheel or chain ?????????? maybe I don't know just do em up well or ;

I wear boots with laces but I have fitted adaptors, basically zips that lace into the boot, it means no loose ends and quick off and on.

Laces??

Use Lowa boots and have done for donkeys.
Luckily I have enough savvy to make sure that I dont leave huge loops hanging down that can get caught on things!
Great for walking in when you get to where you're going.
Simples!

Did you never have a lace wrap itself around the gear or rear brake pedals? :rofl: Happened a lot when i was a Yoof, and tucking them away never worked for long.
Great fun when you pull up at a junction and just topple off! hehe:smiliex:

Its easy. Wind the surplus length of lace around th top of the boot, then you have enough for a secure bow, without any "dangerous" loops.
