Good value Aluminium Panniers - Recomendation

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to recommend some very good value aluminum panniers by Motorradalukoffer.de (site in english here: Welcome to aluminium-panniers.co.uk).

I purchased a set for €230 last year and they've served very well on trips around Europe - I'm now taking them on a South America Trip. They're probably not as durable as touratech, but they're so much cheaper.

Also I lost some parts for the rack I purchased with the panniers - they shipped me spares for free!

Anyway, just wanted to share for those of us on a budget.

Cheers,
Joe

Just to add my experiance with this company, I bought a set of there premium panniers for my GS last year on the way to the German Hubb meeting.
They were more than helpfull and posted the panniers and rack fitting onto my home address , they arrived in just a few days .
Easy to fit and after completing my Round the world trip this year they are still good and servicable and the bike and the panniers will be at the German Hubb meeting this year ( this weekend ) .. Good company and good service .

Well....I have to say that this boxes are very expensive. This are Alpos panniers dressed in leather. You can buy it here (Slovenia) for 50 or 60 eu/box
Alpos - Serija C (motoristični zaboji)
I have them and they work pretty well.

best regards

Funny, the english version of the alpos website does not contain information about motorcycle panniers, only the slovenian version.

@Iced Do you know if the company will sell just two panniers? Do you know a slovenian company that will?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
