Good all around jacket and pants?
I have just recently bought a KLR 650 and am interested in getting out on the road. In the past I have just worn Carhart pants and either a long sleeve t-shirt or my mesh road jacket. I have an old pair of steel toed gore-tex combat boots that are great in all terrain and I can actually walk in them.
What I need though is a good set of protective pants with pockets that can span the weather spectrum fairly well (I live in the desert) and a good jacket that will keep me warm or cool (the weather here goes from 100 in the daytime and into the 30s at night) I usually carry my Frogg Toggs for wet weather or my Army issued GoreTex jacket and pants, but the Military stuff is heavy and bulky and not suited to all day wear. Any suggestions? I also want to be able to wear this stuff off road a bit. I am on a budget so it has to be good gear that will last and not break the bank on the initial purchase. Thanks for whatever help you can provide, CPTD Last edited by cptd; 4 Dec 2006 at 08:57. Reason: Bump |

i have tried alot of differant clothing. although expensive, i have never been dissappointed with ANY bmw clothing. from comfort to crash protection i have allways been really impressed. I wish i could take the money i spent on other brands,(where i thought i was saving money) and have it to spend on the good stuff. I have had savannah and rally 1 suits and both were excellent. i do buy them just a tad large and pack a gerbing heated suit also.
for what its worth wyomex |
