Coolant mix Ratio
Hi,
What radiator coolant mix are you using for Central And South America? Or is it worth changing the mix for better cooling efficiency? - Manufacturer spec is 50% Glycol / 50% Water. - More Glycol equal lower freezing point and better boilover point. - More Water equal better heat transfer, lower boilover point, maybe more corrosion? Thanks, Patrick |

Usually 50/50 is best mix. Look at the instructions on the coolant and some have a chart for other mix ratios for heat ranges.

No reason to futz with coolant - just go by the book, will work fine everywhere except Siberia in the winter.
