chest protectors???

Which if any chest protectors do you guys wear? Am going to the meeting in Creel this October, it can get hot there so I'm thinking of buying a chest protector and leaving the jacket at the motel on hot days.

If you're leaving your jacket and using a chest protector, presumably you will be giving up your jacket's shoulder, elbow and back armor. You might consider a pressure suit instead (661, Acerbis, Velocity Gear, Rock Gardn, etc.). They all flow air pretty well but the amount of protection you'll have will be greatly enhanced. I just got the Acerbis Koerta and wonder why I waited so long to get such great riding protection.

What's the difference between a pressure suit and a chest protector? Most of the chest protector's I'm looking at cover the front/back/shoulders and have a removable upper arm protector.

A pressure suit is a zip-front mesh long sleeved shirt with attached back, chest, shoulder and elbow armor that is usually held in place with elastic straps. It generally has better armor that is better attached to your body and covers more likely impact areas.

Fat Chance has it exactly right.

Pressure suit is the way to go, IMO.
