They look pretty good and I like the way that you've managed to get the boxes to fit closely to the side of the bike.

The only thing that would concern me is load tranfer onto the rear subframe. You have cut away the lower half of the 'D' frame, thus transferring some of the support of the load from the mainframe onto the subframe.
Although I can see that this has been done in order to fit the panniers around the exhaust, how have you tried to counter the effect this will have on load carrying ability?

There is no option , but to have the Rear
subframe bearing the Load. The Pannier
Mount is Mounted Directly to the rear subframe
at 3 Points . The Two std. mount points and
the rear of the pillion foot peg. There is also a steadying bar at the Rear , although this bears no load , just for stability.
These Panniers are Designed and Built with
true Round the World Capabilities. These are
not for going shopping, although they do that
Too. Noted i also offer to custom build your
Panniers the way you want em.

Caja Sahel
Caja is Spanish for Box
Sahel is an area south of the Sahara.
So a Box designed and built to work in this
environment.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
