hi Paul,
I have got an airhawk-seat, and I'm very happy with it.
I ordered it over the internet during my south-american trip.
I had it shipped to mexico and it made all the difference. now I can ride 12 hours a day without any problems at all. it was the best modification I have done to the bike.
bye,
Mark.

hello Bill,
it comes with a puncture repair-kit.
since its made of a kind of rubber I think you can even fix it with a patch wich you would nomally use for your inner tubes, or an air matress.
bye,
Mark

I use the Airhawk now. I used a "memory foam type gel pad before but didn't like it for rough roads. It was OK on a smooth road, but don't try it off-road. It will not be effective as the shock will transmit through. Because the gel has much more inertia, it does not "give" while bouncing up and down on a rough road. The air in the Airhawk does not have any appreciable inertia, so it cushions instantly. Much more comfortable. So overall, the Airhawk wins due to its versatility.

Also the gel pad will be quite stiff in a cold morning, until your butt warms it up.
Depending on the cover, the gel pad will absorb water during a rainstorm, because, after all, it is a foam material.
