Anti Fog insert for Arai Tour x Helmet
Hi All
Has anyone fitted a fog city anti mist insert on this helmet? I have seen a company advertise the Pro shield Universal insert as fitting but it looks like the wrong shape to me. Thanks Julio |

I cant advise you on if they fit in that particular helment, but I can say the Fogg City works as advertised. Just make sure the shield is very clean when you install it. I always do mine when the shield is new.
They are cheap why not go for it. Yankee Dog |

I use a Respro Foggy with my Tour-X, and it fits well, and works perfectly, and I wear glasses which don't mist up. It covers the front mouth vent, but you get enough air from underneath.

I have not had the same luck with the fog city insert. In the rain, it would still fog up after about 10 minutes of riding. I did install it into a brand new visor, but it did not stick very well and would start to work loose when it got wet. Then it would fog between the insert and the visor (which you can't wipe clean without removing the insert, tricky while riding).
If you have not installed a fog city insert, the adhesive is on the perimeter (maybe 4mm wide), so trimming to shape can be trickier, if you are trying to adjust for the nose of the Arai XD. Matthew |
