AIROH S4 STREET Vs HJC CL-XS Enduro helmets

Ok both of these helmets are around the same price range but which one is better? At present I have a HJC FG14 since it fits perfectly but fancy either a pure MX helmet or one of these Enduro type things with a visor but not sure which one? Any one has experience of either or both?

You don't say how much you want to spend but I can recommend the BMW Enduro helmet. Very light, all day comfortable and pretty quiet on an unfared bike. They're about £250.

I'm looking at the lower end of the market. Since it will be a 2nd helmet for summer. But thanks for the surgestion

Anyone heard of or recommend Marushin X-Moto since that’s also similar price although you have to buy clear visor to start with.

I just got myself a NITRO MX417 helmet for only £22! Search the web and you will find many similar bargains where dealers are trying to clear their shelves of outdated models.

I possess a top of the tree Shoei X-Spirit for road use.

I recently bought an S4. After many years of the feeling that my head was held in a vice this helmet is a joy to wear. I find it light in weight and very comfortable. Wind noise is acceptable and this maybe due to the lack of vents. Some may be put off by the visor not fully retracting - always in line of sight. The opening is large and visability is excellent.
Tried the HJC and it was not comfortable. Also when then visor is taken up the peak also moves which does not inspire confidence. Did not think quality of the HJC was as good as the Airoh.
Just my two penny worth

Get the may issue of TBM (trail bike magazine) UK

HI this issue has a review of most of the x tour style helmets, I only just got it so havnt read it yet but it looks good. Also has a review of the new Tenere although I think the UK stock has all but sold out even though the Tenere hasnt got to most dealers.
