What Network card to buy

Hi all,

I am after some advise, what network card is the best to buy for traveling?

What is the type in use 802.11a, 802.11b or 802.11g

will they all work in any wireles spot?

Hi Andy - b is the most common in use at the moment, but you can buy cards that use all 3. Nearly all g and a base stations will support a b card though - so if you really only want to get a card that supports one I'd go with b.

Linksys do several cards that will work with all 3 standards.

Yes they're not bad at all actually - price wise they seem to be about the best - at least the best of the 'known brands' as oposed to some of the naff kit you see in PC Wolrd these days :-)
