Pre-paid data SIM card?

I want to take my IPad to Europe with me this Summer, and am looking at a pre-paid data SIM. I've been looking at GO-SIM, but I was wondering if anyone's used something else (cheaper?!)

I'm not adverse to local SIMS, but I quite like the idea of not having to search around for cards - just take one with me and be done with it!

As an add on to this, has anyone used this?:

using any roaming sim is gonna be expensive with data - either hold out for wifi - or if in a country for a few days - get a local sim - in ro the vodafone pre pay gives you good value at a huge saving

I'm going around Eastern Europe for a month, so I'm only in one country for a brief time - I think I'll stick to wifi.

Thanks for the reply.

I was travelling to France, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Poland using MTXConnect data-only sim card for my Ipad. It was perfect for me, cause they suggest different tariffs, I used the first one(10 euro a day with an unlimited traffic) when I had to work and had to spend a lot of time surfing internet, and another one for 0.10 euro per 1 Mb, when I needed to check e-mail or google maps, or posted smth to Instagram. So it's a good option too for travelling to Europe. Check it out: mtxc.eu

I have no idea if it still's work's now. Some year's back I brought a PAY as YOU go. Phone in France. On the understanding that load it up with 10 euro's. I found it was cheaper to phone in to the next country with it than use my UK phone. There are a lot of next door county's to France.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
