Question Loading Google Map Help?

Hello, hoping there may be a website wiz out there! A website newbie trying to get one sorted before leaving for Africa in October (nothing like leaving it to the last minute!)... hence my deciding to get hosted on a WYSIWYG site (Website Builder Plus if you need to know). I wanted to load a google map onto it but am having no luck; the map doesn't show, just the HTML code I pasted into the page once I've saved it. I have tried researching this online but am just getting more confused! :confused1:

What am I doing wrong, and am I even pasting the code to the right area?

Thanks in advance for any advice...

Allison

Website?

Welcome to the Forum Allison.

You need to write it like this - LINK TO MAP then highlight this with a right click and -

then go to LINKS on your program and put in the full HTML link address to the Google Map Page. Don't forget to include the first bit http://

Finally then save the changes

That should sort it.

Thanks for the replies. I have tried the suggestions, and still only the code shows on site. Having investigated further i think my mistake is not having published yet (apparently map only shows once site is published?) so will keep you posted as to how it goes once (if?) published.

Fingers crossed!

I´m a newbie with websites too, but I know that using Typepad for my website, I have to choose an option that tells Typepad that I´m entering html code to embed the map, and not simply inserting text or a link to the map. That probably doesn´t help at all, especially using another host, but something is better than nothing.
