Data and phone in sth America

I will be following the Dakar through Peru, Argentina and chile in January. Is there a single sim card that will provide data and phone coverage for an iPhone for all countries or will I need to buy separate sim card for each country.

Any recommendation or info appreciated.

I bought a TravelSim in Oz and it is good for 180 countries which include all of SA, phone only though, no data. I am not sure there is a Data Sim, but things change so fast they may now be available.

You would have to check your local Post office or Phone reseller about one of these style cards, and they may not be available for your country, do some checking, but you are looking for something along these lines

TravelSim

Cheers

Thanks Richard, yes I have used travelsim previously but was really looking for a sim that does data as well as phone. Like a bigpond sim.

I am not sure there is one m8, and sorry, I did not look at who posted, too busy

It may be better to grab a local SIM for data and just use travelsim for phone calls

Mind you, most hotels had free wifi, so it would depend on what you need it for as to whether it is a must have thing
