Dave - reading the small print.....

Question- does this unit deliver 12v if plugged into a 12v system or only with a 24v system ? - Rox
Answer- 12v is only available when using it on a 24v system

so no good for my Asus EePC which needs 12VDC 3.0Amps as my bike & 4x4 are 12Volt systems- what a shame- looked like a nice find but 'twill not do-

Why would you need an adaptor from 12V to 12V? Just make up a cable. Another good reason to buy an EeePC, it seems.

Cable.

Hi.
The newer eeepc's are 12v 3a rather than the 9v of the older ones.
It needs to be a regulated supply to stop the voltage spikes you get in a motor vehivcle 12v supply so you need that rather than just a cable.
Works in theory but I seriously reccommend you don't do it!
It would be nice to have the reg as part of the eeepc though.
Cheers.
Dave.
