Shipping Panama to Colombia/Aquador sep/oct

Hi!
I am now at Mexico on my way south to S.A.
Planing to get to Panama at late sep or oct, and cross to Colombia or Aquador. (preffer Aqudor, but it seems very complicated).
Is any one going to do it on these dates?
I am a little bit worry about this act, probably in a group it will be cheaper and easier.
Thanks,
Omer (klr650).

look around the forum for threads on the subject (alot more of them than you think) and go to the "shipping yourself and the bike" section in the left bar.

forget ecuador and venezuela. Cartagena, Colombia is port of choice. Colombia is also very nice and you would be sad to miss it I am sure.

otherwise don't worry about it. so many people do it that you can easily find a boat in Panama city (contact the hostels that are mentioned in LP, they make big bucks selling passages and know all the boats)

I saw quite a few adv riders when I arrived in Panama city and they had already found a ship.

lastly I advice you to take the Stahlratte (google it) if you can. good outfit.

and last lasty I say, don't worry it is simple and easy. I was worried as well, but without reason.

Hi Raider,

Normally I arrive in Panama arrown October 22th. I thinks to cross by flight. Off course It´s little more expensive but more safety.
The date depend of climate and the road

As Peter-Denmark says, go to this site and you will find positive answers, No fear. I found that Air Girag is the most reliable and practical for bikes. The have offices not only in Panama but also in Miami, Barranquilla, Medellin, Cali, Bogota and Quito.

And......finally.....if you're able to pass the Darien Gap, plane or boat, we can meet ahead. I'm leaving Colombia October 15/20 and am Spanish speaker. Stay tuned
