Shipping out of Central America/Mexico to UK?

Hi

Has anybody shipped their bike back from any of the northen countries in Central America or Mexico to the UK - I have done a search in the "shipping" section but got no responses.

We are about to ship to Panama and are then heading north, but we reckon our funds will run out somewhere near mexico and as such it will be time to go home.

Or is it better to push on for the US (where I assume it is easier to ship back from - though again via the "shipping" search only got one response and the guy had gone from NYC with the QEII - not quite in our budget!!!). If so are there any recommendations for a port near the mexican border?

Any help much appreciated.

Nick

Try widening the search a bit - "from: North and Central America to: Europe" got me 15 hits.

Your best option otherwise is probably from one of the Gulf ports in Texas, Louisiana, and Florida.

If you want to try a Florida exit....try contacting Simon Hawkes at Vanguard Logistics in Miami.
His phone number is 305 341 6036
and fax 305 341 6113
He is from London, now living in Florida, rides a Honda Shadow and was really helpful when we collected our bikes last week.
If he can't point you in the right direction then no one can.

Try to contact logistics experts like Panalpina, Dacotrans or Kuehne & Nagel. I would not see any probelm with this. What type of bike will you be riding? I will make sense to get a wood bike crate to ship the bike by sea. If you want to ship a bike by air, I don't see any problem either (Guatemala)
