Anyone know of a boat sailing from Panama to Colombia

We are in Santiago, just outside Panama city, and trying to organise crossing over to Colombia with our bike. Girag is a total rip off, they are now asking for $900 (cash only), plus about 350 each for our own flights! Checking about boats at the moment but the earliest seems to be the 18Sep (according to people at Wunderbar Hostel). Is anyone down here in the same situation? Also have check Metacomet sailing website but not sailing until the 28Sep. Maybe if other bikes were around we could organise or charter an earlier sailing?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Send an email to Peter(aka Bruce) of the Golden Eagle zcnz4@sailmail.com

He is the skipper, great boat, and if you deal direct with him, things are better all around.

I don't know when he sails next, but it is an easy ask.

He can access email via Sea phone, but not web pages.

Cheers
TS

Hi,
I did this trip just 3 months ago (BMW 1200GSA)...and I believe there is ONLY 1 boat worthy of the crossing and that is called 'Stahlratte' Captains name is Ludvig phone Panama 507 60181613. The Luna's Castle hostal, Panama ( also Great hostal)can set it up but be quick it gets full up quickly understandably.
good luck...Mark
