paperwork advise, buy bike in US to ride to Costa Rica
 

I'm planning to fly to the US (CA) and buy a bike there to ride to Costa Rica, any advise how to do the paperwork in order to have less hassle at the borders ? I understood that title in my name is best, but that takes very long ? :confused1:

By the way: Let me know if you know a XR650L for sale, between 2000-2007, not more then 10,000 miles, good condition, preferably with larger tank, rack.

Do not leave the US without a title in your name. In my state you can get the title immediately at the state DMV if you pay extra. Otherwise it takes 2 weeks to get mailed to your listed address.
