Need Front Tire in Mexico

I would like to know where I can order a Heidenau K60 90/90 21 for a Triumph Tiger 800XC in Mexico to be shipped to Oaxaca. I will be here for a week or so and now would be a good time to get this tire before heading further south. I do not speak any useful spanish...but that fact rarely stops commerce in Mexico.

I am sure it is fairly easy to order moto tires here and if someone could point me in the right direction I will be grateful.

I don´t want to disappoint you but I think they will be very difficult to find. The best place for tyres in Mexico is motohouse but they will probably only have Michelin or Metzeler. You might have better luck in Guatemala if your tyres will get you that far.

I have a company Adventure Cartel out of Mexico City that will ship the Heidenau to me in Oaxaca Monday.

Good to know. I had never heard of the company. Were they expensive?

The tire was $190.00 US including shipping. That is quite reasonable. I have been dealing with Lance Carnes....the company, from what I can tell, is a moto touring company and is branching out into other moto needs. I found the company through contact with other travelers I have friended on Facebook.

Do what I did recently (ok it was for Russia), I contacted Heidenau direct and they helped me find someone to deliver the tyres, who in turn sent them to someone to fit them.

I have found the tire I need here in Mexico...but I am traveling on to South America and will need another set along the way. Thanks for this info as it will come in handy next time I need tires.

Santiago is a good place to get tyres.

For anyone needing Heidenau tires in Mexico Lance (aka El Stigo) at Adventure Cartel in Mexico City can fix you up. Lance's email is:lance.carnes@gmail.com.
