You will have little trouble getting insurance, you are in the same position as Mexicans driving into the USA and who need insurance .
On the Mexican side of the border as you get into Nogales, and most other Mexican border towns , there will be insurance sellers advertising their services on signs along the roads and at their business places. Stop of at any one of these to arrange the insurance you need.I just read yumasimon´s answer tothis same question posed earlier by you and I differ with him,as I have seen numerous such insurance sellerson theMexicoside. He does offer web adresses for you to investigate .
An alternative to buying in Mexico would be to contact via internet one of the insurance sellers in the USA and arrange your needs over this medium .
A note of economic caution-you are required by law in the USA and Canada to have third party liability insurance . Theft, fire, collision insurance is your choice but will drive up costs very quickly, and may really not be worth it given the high deductable value imposed on bike cover. You will already be covered for health or injury by the travel insurance you no doubt always have in yor travel kit.
An insurance policy bought for the USA is in most cases also recoignized as valid for riding into Canada.

If you think the offerings on the Mexican sideof theborder are not good enough then buy only a short term cover sothat you can legally ride in the USA and check out the insurance there at an agency of your choice.

Hi. No luck for insurance from most USA insurance companies. First they did not want to insure my bike becuase I had no local adress, secondly my bike was not a model sold in the USA (confirmed by Chassis no).

Only company that helped me was Fernet insurance. They were helpfull. I spoke to a lady with the name of Phyllis, she arranged everything for me via email. her mail is at info@fernet.com The documents got mailed to me, I printed it out and it was good enough for the few times I was asked for it. It also covered Canada (asked for it) It was valid for 59 days, and you can renew it. Cant remember the price, but was more than $100 I think.
Got this info from earlier posts on this Forum.

PS: Bike is a ZA regestration, but should be the same for EU

Gail Goodman at Motorcycle Express organised all of ours, UK registration, 6 months in the USA, cost a fortune but it was a high value motorcycle, if you want to go you have to expect to pay. Motorcycle Express advertises on this site, give them a call or e-mail, very helpful, very knowledgeable.
