Question KLR650 2007 for sale in Guatemala

Hey,

I am currently trying to sell my KLR650 that I brought down from the states. Does anyone know anything about what kind of papers or taxes I will need? Also, does anyone know a good place to sell? I am in Antigua, just next to Guatemala city.

I really dont want to sell this bike coz I truly love it, so have been very lazy about it. But now I need to get some money back in the coffers so I can be on my merry way again

Be careful.
If the bike is not in your name, with a title and registration, crossing into another country will be impossible.
Just met an american woman who bought an RV and did not have the title in tears at the Nicaragua border when they refused her entry.

You are right about the bordercrossing , but if you buy a bike in Guatemala you get registration and title in your name . It usually does not take longer then 4 days to do the paperwork and it does not matter where you are from , all you need is your passport and being legally in the country .
