New form Nicaragua immigration!

After being held up at Nicaragua immigration for over five hours we learned that there is a new form to fill out when entering Nicaragua for more than 5 days. You need to fill this out and email it to solicitudes@migob.gob.ni and a copy to preyes@migob.gob.ni BEFORE you arrive at the border! as far as I know you should then get an invitation to enter Nicaragua by email. We never read about this but our embassy assured us this is a new thing since a couple of days now but it does not get enforced 100% yet. This form should apparently speed up the process at immigration. Northern boarder gets controlled pretty harsh atm because of the vote on 5th of December and the MARAS. Ride safe!

Here's a link to the form:

And here the official information:

Standec , were you travelling as an individual or as a member of some organized group, or a terrorist cell You do say " we were held up " ( delayed )

After looking at that Nicaraguan site and Reading the form in both Spanish and English I get the distinct impression that they are directing this procedure at ORGANIZED GROUPS , NGO for community aid .
This is the English version title intro of that page :
"" APPLICATION FORM TO THE MINISTRY OF GOVERNMENT
For the safe and organized entrance and exit to Nicaragua of visisitors of other nationalities.""

Normal tourists travelling on their own will not be impacted by this if such is the case . Please clarify your travel arrangement which precipitated this request by Nicaraguan border control .
This is an image of the Spanish version of that form title and intro.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
