looking for a bike in mexico city & maps for central america

Hi there, I'm planning to ride during few months in Mexico and all Central America. So I'm looking for a good 2nd hand trail bike in Mexico City -where I'll land on next December 11th. Also I'd like to know what are the reliable road maps to buy to ride in Mexico & all over Central America, thanks

ITMB paper maps of Central America are good detail, sold on line
InMexico buy a QUIMERA road atlas or the GUIA ROJI both have lots of detail, get the $12 style, magazine size for bike use. Until you get to Mexico any single sheet fold out map of the country will be okay for general route planning.

How much do you want to spend? I saw a DL650 for 85,000 pesos recently. There are not many used bikes around but if you need help I can look around for you.

Check MercadoLibre México - Donde comprar y vender de todo. but it will be difficult to find anything in that price range. I think you should get something in the USA.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
