Caribean island hopping with a bike???
 

Hi,
I'm off to Mexico and some of central america this winter with my Firebolt and good lady wife and we were wondering if anyone had any experience taking a bike around the Caribean Islands. The Lonely Planet style books seem to make out it's hard work (if indeed possible) but reading this site I'm sure that someone somewhere has done it before.
We have four months from mid Nov onwards so if anyone has any other ideas of where to go in the regio. I apprecieate it's a huge area but we're open to all suggestions. Thanks,
