Hi, so you didn' t buy Sjoerd' s Mexico Accomodation guidebook?
Where do you need recommendations for?
Which mountains are you riding?
I should be able to maybe show you a few spots on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday workload permitting.

A friend of mine is riding over on Friday and Saturday another local guy is coming along for a nice mountain tour ride.
The Nu Hotel is located right behind the bus station, has a decent coffee shop and is clean and has parking for your bike along the side. I have recommended it to a few riders and they have all been happy. Runs about $350 pesos a night, no roaches, full on toilet seats, attentive staff, and you'll have no drama. It is relatively new, hence the name.

Hi Pemi , good to read that you are progressing. Can you
give us a little update on some of your experiences this
far ? Have you been surprised, satisfied, disappointed ,homesick or
culture shocked by anything? Which routes did you explore
and has the weather co-operated ?
Just curious and hoping you are enjoying it all.

Anyone in Mexico?

Hi, Ken & I are in Zacatecas, heading south in a day or two. We plan to travel through Mexico, Guatemala & Belize for the next two and a half months. In Creel we met two other motorcycle travelers who we have crossed paths with again over the last week. Looking forward to some warmer weather when we reach the coast in a few days.

Hi Ken & Carol,

Just saw your note saying that you are in Zacatecas. On the off chance that you are requiring any parts or other goods for your motorcycle, I'm flying down from Canada and will be in Zacatecas on Monday night. I'm sure you are well sorted, but thought I would put it out there just in case. Cheers and ride safe.

Hi Mountain Man, Thanks for your offer but we are good for parts etc. We are leaving Zacatecas tomorrow and heading south, maybe Guadalajara then down to the coast and warmer weather.

Enjoy your time in Mexico.

Cheers Carol & Ken

Hi Don, At this stage we won't be Veracruz until sometime in February when we head back north. Will be keeping more to the west side of Mexico on our way south.

Ride safe,
Carol & Ken

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
