www.gearpac.com - Forum Sponsor - Equipping you

Dear HUBB members,
With kind permission from Grant, I just wanted to introduce myself and my business Gearpac, as the sponsor for this forum section. We sell camping, mountaineering and travel gear. Being a fellow rider and traveler, I set up the business to provide competitive and affordable kit and an alternative to the high street stores.

We sell a wide range of goods from a variety of manufacturers, such as Ortlieb, Petzl, Exped, Vaude and others, via the internet (www.gearpac.com ), and are also hoping to be trading at some shows and events.

We are based in a small office in North Wales, just on the edge of the Clwydian Mountain range. I try to be as ethical, open and upfront with customers as I can be. The office telephone number (UK – 01244 549688) is freely available and I welcome enquiries and calls. Full contact details are on the site for any correspondence.

The following is a short list of some of the items we sell in no particular order;
Waterproof luggage;
Camping Stoves;
Sleeping Mats;
Roll Bags;
Tents;
Torches;
Water bags;
Amongst other items…

At the moment the internet shop handles direct sales to the UK and Europe, but we do welcome enquiries from further a field and always willing to see what we can do. So please have a look around the site and let me know what you think.

If you are looking for something and do not see it on the site, please let me know and I will see what I can do for you.

If you have any technical queries or questions about any of the gear we sell, don’t hesitate to ask.

Kind regards

John Woolley

Nice to meet you John - always nice to put a name to an advertiser - I think it makes it that much more personal, and when it comes to spending large amounts of money is never a bad thing!

Good luck with the new business, I'm sure we'll cross paths one day, let us know if you're going to be at the shows so we can come say hi.

kind words

Hi Matt,
Thank you. I have been lurking around HU for a few years since I bought my GS, so I like to think that I am able to contribute as a member as well as an advertiser.

The market I am in is exceedingly competative to say the least, but I try to offer good prices and a great service. I hope if people have questions, then they will feel free to ask.

Some of the nicest customers I have had the pleasure to deal with have found me through the hubb, and its nice to feel I can help people out with their dreams and trips.

Cheers

John

Prices..

Thank you Niel,

Price wise I aim to be as good as I can. I know how hard it can be for people to afford gear ontop of preparing a bike for a long trip and I firmly believe that the right gear is worth its weight in gold.

If people do not find what they are looking for in the shop and let me know, there is a good chance I can source it for you. As I can only keep in stock a fraction what I can sell due to space.

Cheers

John

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
