Vango tents and MIDGES!!!

Hi all,

I have to get a tent as soon as possible and am very close to making up my mind about the Halo 300 | Tents | Vango . The only issue is: MIDGES!!!

I don't know if vango migdes netting is fine enough to keep the little bastards out?

On the other hand is the tent going to be ventilated enough to deal with the condensation since it's not really a see through mesh but a polyester wall on the inner tent?

PLEASE HELP!!!!
Andy

Hehehe...

You are so right! I find myself acting like a bloody lassie! Should I do this, or maybe that, or maybe this , or maybe...

Argh...

That's it! Having my lunch and buying the tent!
See you on Friday!

by the way, I have a Vango 250 something or other. it survived a right lashing by the winds up north. with me and the luggage (cycle) inside it was still lifting off the ground!

quite a few of the pegs were bent, and the main pole bent. all re-bendable-backable. I was quite impressed with it though.

midges were grounded due to adverse flight conditions.

Halo 300 inner tent appears fine enough to keep out midges. Why not ring and ask Tel: 0844 8110535.

The tent is ventilated by some smallish roof vents, the lower the temperature the more condensation will form. The outer tent doors are quite clever in that when opening them they can still keep rain off the inner tent, just open them some more to reduce condensation, the downside is the tent will be colder.

It would make my shortlist for a motorcycle touring tent.

Thank you for your advice!

I just bouhgt the bloody thing for 125£ of amazon :) It seems pretty perfect for the purpose!

We'll have it on our mini highland meeting this friday so we can test it out.

Thanks!
Andy

I have used the Vango Spirit 200+ (bigger lobby area) for past few years, very pleased with them but do make sure you treat them with a good UV protector as they can be prone to going a bit "thin".
All the best

Just chain smoke for a couple of hours once the tent is zipped up :thumbup1:
And dont forget the Avon skin so soft.
