I don't think you'll get much help on this question. Beyond basic protection of your head, helmets are a personal feel and fit item. Some heads are harder to fit than others. There is no perfect helmet. They all fall apart eventually. Flip face are louder than full face by nature. All helmets are quiet in the store. They're all loud over 80. Earplugs are cheap. Some people swear by Schuberth. If I paid that much for a helmet I would expect gopro camera, xm radio and gps turn by turn headphones.

I have a Shoei medium head. Even on the full face Shoei the factory visor pivot screws are crap. I had to duct tape my visor on when they broke on a trip. I replaced mine with inserts and machine screws. Cheaper than buying a new helmet. I have tried many helmets but my head prefers Shoei. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone else though.

Best,
John Downs
