Anyone know where I can get one of these?

Five years ago I went on a camping trip in Namibia, and the tour leader had a nifty folding wash-basin. It was similar in design to those small folding stools you see in camping shops, but with a canvas (I seem to remember) bag which held a few litres of water to wash the dishes / your hands in.

I've searched the internet and local camping shops (UK), but to no avail. The closest thing is a cheap 'Made in China' type folding bucket, which I don't really fancy.

So, anyone know where I can pick such a folding basing up?

Cheers

Dan

No, but thanks for looking!

The basin I'm after is supported on metal folding legs, which brings it up to hand-level.

Dan,
Try your local fishing tackle shop. They make collapsable bowls for mixing bait in.
Do you secretly want to wash your bike on the road?

Dan,
the bowl might have been made locally - its very cheap to get canvas items made up - down there - especially one offs - bags, swags etc

Ive got a couple of the Ortlieb bowls (5 + 10 L) and they are the dogs - fold up to nothing and very tough - you can use them with a carabiner between the handles and a length of paracord on the crab - as a well bucket, - carry the washing -clothes or dishes - the wife washes her hair in one and rinses in the other(I dont have any!) they are one of the best bits of camping kit Ive got.

I know its not what your looking for - but maybe you could knock up a frame to sit one of these on - keeping the bowl and the stand seperate makes it more versatile IMO.

Cheers
