Luggage

Going to central America for 2 months and have no luggage, other then small soft saddlebags maybe 30 litres of storage, there will be 2 of us and will take tents as well as 2 sleeping bags, however no other camping gear, also bought a rear backrest with luggage rack for 2003 honda 750 ACE, I dont want to pack to heavy, any thoughts on bag for luggage rack, also any thoughts of cheap decent tank bags? dont want to spend a ton
Thanks

Take a look at Wolfman packs. They are not cheap but they are well made, and they might work for your trip.I use the tank pannier model as a second set of rear panniers(like saddlebags for a horse).I don't have the web address handy.

Your cheapest option might be to just buy standard dry bags from any outdoor store. They're usually pretty tough and totally waterproof.

Dry bags, yep thats the ticket. Get them at most anyplace that deals in canoes or kayaks. Just get a pile of bungee cords and strap them on the luggage rack or on the seat in front of the rack and use it for a back rest.
