Kerosene and white gas (Coleman Fuel)
 

When using my stove I know that to go from White Gas to Kerosene a change of jet is needed.

However, I just bought a kerosene lantern from a sort of bric-a-brac shop but I have no Kerosene. In this case would white gas work just as well or is it too volatile to use in one of those lanterns?

NO! NO NO NO!
White gas in refined petrol the kind in cars and motos. If the kerosene lantern dose not blow it self up it will turn in to ball of flames. If you need a white gas lantern Id go to camping store and get one.

I'd never realised how nice it is to lie in bed, look straight up and see the night sky through the two flats above ours: ... lovely...
