Ideas? Coleman multifuel help
Hi all. Currently on the road in cusco Peru. I'm not sure if it's the altitude bug my stove has "died in the ass". I tried cleaning the
Genny but no go, was still very slow. I kinked thenwire in thenprocess. At the moment it runs ok without the wire but no good for Slow cooking! I oil the pump often. Short of replacing parts is there anything I can do on the road? I love camp cookin! Cheers Rossy.

I don't know about the stove itself but I believe things always take longer to cook at altitude.
Altitude does funny stuff -E.G. water takes longer to boil although it has a lower boiling point. Something to do with less oxygen providing heat I think

I have a large coleman duel fuel and it does not like running on a low tank of fuel so make sure yours if full. But I suspect you are probably suffering from altitude.
How long have you been using it with the same generator, it may be time for a new one. |

Cheers mate! I usually run it only on premium Witt a full tank. Only had for a few months. Might need new gen once in USA.

Hi Brian,
The gennies on the "Kid Killers" are renowned for clogging up , basically with any grade of fuel. I used to soak the gennie overnight in Carb/fuel injector cleaner. It worked quite well. get some spare "O" rings too before you start this process. Hope this helps ![]() Kindest regards Nevil |

Just read the other posts I think you will find a bit of all the above but I do know less co2 means will take longer, no matter what fuel you where using.
