foldable bowls and cups

I just spotted a rather interesting product on the TV which is completely new to me and I was wondering if anyone in here has come across it or used it.

It is a range of bowls, cups and plates which are made of foldable Polypropelene or some such modern product. Which fold flat when not in use

The brand name is Orikaso, has anyone tried them

Tiso sell them in their Edinburgh shop. Not sure about online (tiso.com), but you could give them a ring.

For those in North America, REI.com (and their brick-and-mortar stores) sells them also. $15 for the set.

I don't cook anything other than a spot of hot water for tea whilst on the road, so haven't used these myself.

I picked up a set at Mountain Equipment Co-op. They're great! If you're in Canada try: www.mec.ca

Foldable dishware

The said dishware is outstanding. Folds flat, easy to clean and will hold up for a while. Lighter, more compact than the usual aluminum, stainless or Ti stuff out there. Some sites for the U.S. below.

In London

Decathlon in Surray Quays stocks something similar (I wasn't paying attention to the branding... was just folding and unfolding and turning upside down and right way up again )
Glad they last, I wasn't sure of the ones with poppers

Available from AS Adventure stores in Belgium. I got one from someone as a Christmas present and was a bit sceptical at first but actually they work very well.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
