Cool fishing rod?? maybe try a taking a surf board

He, while we were travelling through Africa we met this German biker on a TT600 carrying a surfboard on his bike, doing a Trans Africa. I cannot imagine a fishing rod will cause any problems?

Good luck

fishing rod

Hi,
I have a 3peice Shakespear Agility barramundy rod in a peice of 90ml conduite which I have bolted on to the mount for the original tool kit on my Dr650. This works well and I have enough room to fit my Tentpole's here too. This rod comes standard with a travel tube which could also be straped on maybe accross the back rack as its only about 2foot long.
Tight lines
Ben

Thumbs up best little fishing rod, exspensive though!

In the UK, if you can still get em, a Bob James Travel Rod, a 5 piece, 7 foot spinning rod, light, sensitive, and strong enough for pike up to double figures, yet sensitive enough to cast half ounce spinners such as Mepps, Ondex, and gutsy enough for lures and small plug baits. comes in a velvet-like fold up roll bag which can be packed in a hard tube. the cost? well an 1999 they were about £120 at my local shop WILLARDS ask for Tim or Bob..........tell em "WHAM BAM!!" sent ya!
sales and service is good and they post anywhere.
I know the rod was a lot of money, but quality costs, and it is the kind of quality rod you can pass on to your kids, it will last and last.

I would sooner go without a helmet than leave my 6 piece, Fenwick rod behind. I have caught fish in 29 differnet states, 11 countries and a few fish ponds with it. It is 16 inches long when disassembled, has a pretty fair feel--not great--but fair. and can be broken daown in a real hurry for easier running through the brush when the game warden spots you.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
