Arai Tour X-2: What's the difference to the old one?

Hi,

I'm just in the last minute prep stage and thought a new adventure asks for a new lid. Always fancied one of the Tour-X helmets (no, not because of Ewan!)...

Now I see there's a new "X-2" version. What's the difference to the old one? IS it only cosmetics, or does it actually 'feel better' (ventilation, weight,...)

Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated!

Cheers
Bjorn

Yeah, reportedly better venting and comfort. There is a tendency for the visor on the current Tour-X to mist; apparently the improved venting reduces misting. I've pre-ordered the new one, so i hope it's worth the extra £60 over the discounted current model.

No mor Tour-X for me...

...they're too small. I tried an XL one, and it causes a headache after 20 minutes. Phoned up the distributors, and they say that the XXL version is actually not much bigger and would likely to cause the same problem for me.
(The XXL one actually uses the same shell but with a 2mm thinner inner).

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
