I'm sure you've managed to replace your fork seals by now, however the below info may help you and hopefully others in future. I came across it as I need to replace mine too (R1100GS)!

And incedently, if you're struggling for an oil filter, the MANN 712/8 does the trick. Fits any Peugot 206 / 106 / 205, as well as a Citroen Berlingo / ZX / Xsara. Available throughout Argentina and Chile at any repuestos shop. A damn site cheaper than an original too!

I struggled to find one recently in Peru however, eventually coming across a US made "Parts Master 61334". Does the job!

Also, keep in mind the 1100GS uses the same oil filter as the BMW K75, which uses the same oil filter as a 1996 Toyota Tacoma 4 cylinder motor...
Bosch Filter 3330...
I personally use the Toyota OEM filter in my K as its a higher quality one than the BMW OEM and is $6 from a Toyota dealer...the Bosch is $5....the BMW OEM is now $18...

Lastly, the crush washer used should be aluminum for the GS/K drainplug...NOT copper.

PS: how do you get Heidenau K60 tires in S-Am, or you have 'em sent to there from Europe or Ozziland?

It's amazing how the tubless K60s spread the world. I remember I was one of the first who spread the word about them fitting on oilheads (no one believer they'd fit at that time), writing in the internet about the success that got some serious attention, and now ... everyone seems to use them.

Just replaced my fork seals in Lima - with seals from an old Yamaha DT 175. Not quite the right size, at 35 x 48 x 10.5 they're half a mil too short, but hey, at US$2 a pop (and the only ones available), who's complaining? Not wanting to tempt fate, I've only posted this after giving the seals a good workout here in the Peruvian Andes. Fortunately they're still sealing.

Margus, with regard to the K60's - I brought the bike from Australia with a new set of K60's fitted and then threw an extra pair in the shipping crate, leaving them with friends in Santiago. As far as I know, they're not available in South America, which is a shame, because I think they're a great tyre. Last a lot longer than TKC's and grip off-road a lot better than Tourances - the perfect compromise in my opinion.
