Which touring windscreen for my F800GS?

Hello HU crew,

Anyone have a thoughts/experiences on the best touring windscreen for the F800gs? A few choices out there and not sure on the right one. I'm 6.1 and love the tall oem screen for off-road but for longer distances on the highway in weather its just not enough.

Love to hear your thoughts, thanks.

I have the Eagle screen from Australia. With shipping it was about £95.

The animated gif below shows the standard F650GS screen which is a bit lower than the F800GS, the BMW High Touring Screen (which was useless) and the Eagle.

I am a satisfied user of the Wunderlich Ergo Vario screen in combination with Touratech spoiler on top.
The original F800GS screen was terrible and the tallest Touratech screen with spoiler was just not enough to get rid of all the turbulens.

I can ride 160 km/h with open visor without issues behind my Ergo-Vario.

I am 6 feet 4 inches tall and I sit on BMW comfort seat with a lamb skin on top.

Thanks to Tim Cullis for the link to the Eagle Screen.
I wish they had some images/videos of their product line.
Is that the "Eagle Screen B-38 Ext T" model you show on the gif above?

Thanks Tim, I haven't seen the Eagle screens before but they look about right. How tall are you if you don't mind me asking? Do you experience any buffeting and how sturdy is the screen at highway speeds?

I'm 5'8" but short legs, so body height of someone taller. It's not as comfortable as the big screen on the 1200GS Adventure, but I also tried the Eagle screen with my mate's TT extender on top and that then comes close.

Before buying the Eagle I tried various screens including the Metal Mule and BMW's High Touring.

The Wunderlich Vario screen works very well for me. It increases the comfort of riding hugely (and looks good, in my opinion). Even in nasty weather conditions, it really does work very well. I bought mine through my local BMW dealer (Balderstones) who fitted it for me, no trouble at all.

Another good feature is that, being variable, I can alter the height in warm weather to get more air flow if needed. Will be very useful when I go abroad, although full height often better in the UK! :palm:

I'm exactly 6 foot, and it works great for me.

Update on my original post. I've gone with the Mirage 2 for my 800gs. I've now put about 5000 km's of ride time on and have to say that I am very happy with the choice.
