What racks for Magadan bags
 

I just picked up a pair of Adventure Spec Magadan soft bags. They look like a pretty solid product.

Question for others using them on the FxxGS, what pannier racks have you mounted them on?

I just got a set also, Do you plan to use just the Velcro strap or will you fit more straps ?


I am fitting my bags to a DRZ but only going to make brackets where i need them pushed of the rear of the frame and not make full pannier racks as no need and just more weight also

I use the, on an existing TT rack on a Sertao, and on the standard bars on the 800GSA

I travelled for 6 months with the Magadans on/off road with a TT rack on a Dakar. They fit the rack well and are easy to attach on that bike. Only cons is that the racks are quite wide.

I have just looked on the site at them myself and they suggest hooped pannier racks like the type you get from Metal Mule and Touratech
They look a good product and might contemplate them myself

Ive got a f650gs dakar with the tt rack. Made some 'lips' with some steel sheet i had (rivetted as i can not weld). This allows me to hang on the bags (with the back two loops they have) seperately without fidling with the velcro straps..
I taped the metal not to damage the bags..

Works like a charm for me..
