Tyres on 1150 GS Adv.
So I've managed to get a small split in the rear on my 1150, so looks like I'll have to change 'em.
I was wondering if anybody had some recommendations for new Tyres, 95% Road use, and also if any one knows of a good place in Central/East London to get them fitted?? Thanks |

Ive had several Metzeler Tourance on my adv and on my old R100GS. They are exactly what you mention 90%+ road, fairly sticky. A rear will last you 5-9000miles, depending on how you ride. The only thing you must watch is that some are fautly and they make your handling go very bad indeed. I have a dud front right now.
Failing that there are Anakees - never had any, but generally well recieved. Otherwise the only other tyre that people seem to recomend is the Continental TKC90 (knobbly - but is pretty fast on tarmac, except in rain). Being in Barcelona I cant recomend anywhere in London, but if you post/search at www.ukgser.com you´ll get all the info you need. bob |

Thanks for the info, I'm fairly new to Biking, so am a bit useless sometimes.
I ended up getting a pretty good deal on some Metzlers, and they seem fine so far. Thanks once again for the info. |
