Tank bag for R100GS-PD

Does any one know of a tank bag that will fit onto the (oddly shaped) tank of a GS-PD?

The main problem is the fuel cap, which sticks out a few inches. I suppose one that would fit onto an Acerbis tank would do as well. It does have to have a waterproof map pocket on the top (to conatain maps and Palm/GPS).

Thanks

Rob

Try the "explorer" from Wolf tank bag. You can find them through Aerostich catalog or ads in the bmw moa magazines. I tried one on mine it seems to be alright. I went for the tank pannier which are very nice and they leave the use of the storage space of the tank. Also i think bmw make one for the Gs but expensive.
Pifa.

Thanks. I haven't been able to get hold of that one in the UK. I have discovered that Touratech do a bag that will fit (£70), so may try that.

I have used the Touratech VP-45 as a tank bag with great results. One large tank bag and two side bags for 45 liters of capacity, and they all zip off. Rain cover is also available for the top bag only.

I also have the VP 45. It restricts the turning cicrle and causes the kill switch to turn off - which is dangerous - I am having a cover fitted over the switch to stop it.

Otherwise it's great - tank panniers are really handy
