I was thinking to fit soft luggage kindofthingies as side panniers on our F650 GS ; especially Cargo Endurance (tm) and planning to have them nowadays. Has anybody-by any chance have tried something like that ? Any experience welcome. Thanks anyway.

Yip, I used them and I think they're brilliant, material they used is very tough, I'm not too sure
about how waterproof they are though,.

This is them fully expanded, I never had to use them this way, but it's handy to know I can.

sot panniers or tailwings?

Those seem to be veery large and clumsy pal. might make some room but; you wouldn't risk to put anything you wouldn't dare to lose. I made up my mind and bought a pair of hard panniers (40 lt Cappa). They also make a large (to some extent) and a heavy back; but stay put where tehy are supposed to be. interesting photo anyway. thanks.
