Requesting info on upgrading R1150GS for Off-Road/Adventure

Has anyone read or seen a good article/book/web site on upgrading an R1150GS for more serious off-road use i.e. Africa/Sahara type terrain. A good example would be the new R1150GS Adventure that's just been released by BMW.

Cheers.

Hello TravellingNomad,

I found Steve Raucher's page a good read for trip info and 1150 mods at;

http://www.raucher.com

On this subject, does anyone know whether parts/options for the 1150GS Adventure are interchangeable with the 1150GS'. In particular the hardcases, headlight protectors and the coding plug I have read about.

Thanx for mentioning Steven Raucher's site - really interesting. I also found Bracken - www.bracken.co.uk - a big help - they are a Touratech dealer but they are very honest about which bits are really worth having. I'm going to get a ceramic clutch before I go.
