Rear sprocket cush drive tolerances

Can anyone tell me the maximum rear sprocket cush drive tolerances on a 1999 F650 St? I seem to have rotational play and 'lateral' wobble....

Can you pack them out with a bicycle inner tube? I have done it on other bikes and it means you get much more life out of them.
