Which is the best tyre for BMW R1200 GSA

Hi,
I am starting to wear my OEM tyres on my GSA. And I am keen to know what people think would be a wise replacement. I have heard good things about the Amkee II and now there is a three. I am riding 80 - 90% on road at the moment and on weekends off road.
Cheers,

Couple of options to consider. If you want to wander off road, Heidenau K60 is a long wearing 50/50 knobby tire. For on road, Tourances are a good 90/10 tire. And for a third option, is to run a 50/50 tire (eg. Tourance) on the rear and a 90/10 tire on the front.

Another vote for tourance but make sure they are the old tourance and not tourance EXP

Continental TKC80 if you're going off road - they're surprisingly good on road too!

Another vote for Heidenau K60. I have a 2010 1200GSA, I got 8,000 miles from them, the front still looked 1/2 worn... I change and put the Knobbies to see the difference. Even though the knobbies looks "cooler" on the bike, so far, I think they are only slightly better offroad, but just very little, not enough for me to put knobbies again... K60 are fantastic offroad also, and very confident on HWY, wet, that I would not feel the same way with knobbies.
Cheers

TKC80 front and Heidenau K60 on the rear has lots of fans too. A good combination of off-road control and long life on the highway.

You can always go with the Anakee 3's if you're more of a 90/10 rider.

I don't like knobblies on tramac, but I can only get TKC's here. I was very happy to learn that apart from some slight wobble at low speeds, they do perform very well on the road.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
