R1150GS Value

I am trying to ascertain the secondhand value of a 2001 R1150GS with ABS and heated grips. A search of various websites (e.g. Exchange & Mart) has not turned up a single secondhand one for sale. I assume they mainly change hands privately through word of mouth.

If I ride a low mileage one from Dubai to the UK what sort of price could I expect to get for it? (I don't have time to ride it both ways.)

Also, what absolutely essential documents would be required? I understand that duty is not levied if the bike has been owned for 6 months prior to sale in UK.

Thanks in advance.

There probably wouldn't be duty IF you're a UK citizen returning home, otherwise there almost certainly would be.

Re documents; proof of ownership, (bill of sale) and registration documents should be enough for the bike itself.

It will have to pass MOT of course, but htat shouldn't be a problem.

You won't have to pay import duty if you've owned it for more than 6 months, but as you import it as your possession like this, you are NOT allowed to sell it for a period of a year after the import date.
So sorry this plan wouldn't be possible.
