R1150GS Cable change problem
I'm replacing the throttle cables on my 2002 R1150GSGS Adventure. Everything was OK until I got to the cold start lever.
 The cable attaches inside of the curved slider. I can't get the slider out without removing the lever. My best guess is a strong tug on the lever to release it from the follower. Does anyone know how to take this thing apart to release the cable from the housing. Thanks 40mile....

Choke cable
You need to slide the grip up, peel back the edge nearest the choke lever theres 2 screws undo em to move the grip up (after removing bar weights handgaurds etc). Theres 3 screws on the side of the housing for the choke lever you need the middle one undo it and pull the choke lever free, you should now be able to free the cable.
