R100GS Down pipes without balance pipes work fine

Just a note of reassurance on the issue of fitting the new fangled Keihan down pipes - the ones without a balance pipe.

I've now got them, with a Keihan y-piece and and the replica stainless silencer.

After some magic tuning wizardry from Andrew Sexton of Hook Norton (although he claims it was straight forwards) it's running better than ever.

I'm surprised that the Keihan system sounds even louder than the Laser Pro-duro that I had on before. Even more like an angry Tuareg war camel. Sort of GRRRRRGGGGRRRRNNNNNNN.

Glad yours are ok. I had mine fitted to an 80GS (no balance into a Y then stock tail) sounds throaty but power delivery poor at full throttle. carbs all set up, fed up with it, going back to balance pipe and collector.

I have a complete Keihan system on my 80GS and it doesn't seem to make any difference apart from sounding better
