If it ain't broke , don't fix it ..... you've had the oil and filters done and you said it's purring so leave alone and just enjoy. The old boxer engine isn't hi-tech so it doesn't need much fettling really. If it feels and sounds good it is good. :scooter:

I would add that it's wise to learn how to service your own bike. Not only is it cheaper, but you can do it anywhere and it will (probably) be done right. As has been pointed out, these bikes are fairly low tech and reasonably reliable. It has many more miles in it yet.

If I were you i would check the work they did, someone else on this forum has had big trouble with a gearbox that was 'serviced' and they omitted to fill lit with oil. AS said elswhere, learn to do it yourself. i have a 1985 bmw ant that is as modern as I want to go because I am familiar with that technology and can fix it.

Best BMW mechanic in TR

Hi,

I can recommend you the best mechanic in TR who used to work for BM service before. Now he works fro himself. When you give a visit you will see how many bikes queued for servicing in front of his shop and you will understand he is very good at his work and very logic and menthal at the prices too.

Try and understand yourself:
Name: Saffet Ilbasan
Buber Motosiklet
Address: Fatih Sultan Mehmet Mah. Ataturk Cad. 16, Armutlu-Istanbul
Work: (212) 323 2305
If you can't find the way ask for a taxi to take you there.
